Waterfront Hotel
A four-storey building from 1941 on Zadar’s waterfront, near the old town, originally built as the seat of the Civil Engineering Department during the Kingdom of Italy and later repurposed several times. The municipal urban plan has recently designated it for hotel use. Classified as a building of high historic value and protected from demolition, the project is currently in dialogue with the heritage authority to determine whether and how the building can be extended, pending the district plan still to be drafted for the area. The site also borders public maritime domain, requiring coordination on how it relates to the shoreline in front of it.

Industrial Facility Expansion
A fish processing plant expansion, adding a new production hall as a separate structure connected to
the existing facility, alongside an industrial wastewater treatment plant. The architectural design had to accommodate the requirements set by the technological process itself, shaping the building around equipment layout and production sequencing. Close coordination was required with the specialists managing the new treatment system, and direct engagement with municipal authorities to define discharge methods and environmental impact limits. A further challenge was resolving production workflow between the two physically separate buildings, aligning material flow and process sequencing into a single operation.

Industrial Facility Extension
Extension of a facility for the collection, processing, freezing and storage of fish. The additional volume integrates a new dispatch area for the final product and expands the existing production sequence, including cold storage rooms with automated racking, operating at -18°C. Understanding the client’s operational needs and the fish transformation process in detail was essential to a functional, efficient layout. Close coordination was required with structural, refrigeration, food safety and process engineering consultants around a whole technical solution for this specific workflow.

Supernova ZAD II
Retail Center Extension
A shopping centre extension, adding two storeys above ground and an underground car park to the existing structure. Contribution to permit documentation, working directly with several tenant brands to integrate their individual store projects within the building, while coordinating with structural, MEP and fire safety consultants to keep each unit consistent with the building’s systems. Part of the work involved preliminary feasibility studies on specific nodes, where tenant layouts intersected with structural elements or service routes and needed early resolution before the design could move forward. Each brand’s requirements had to fit within a technical framework common to the whole building.
